The West Coast League's Moss Adams Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, as announced by league commissioner Rob Neyer, are Oregon State junior-to-be shortstop Beau Philip of the Corvallis Knights and Cal Poly junior-to-be pitcher Connor Redmond of the Corvallis Knights for the week of August 13-19.

In the WCL Championship Series, Philip played spectacular defense and went 4-for-7 with a double, two runs scored and 2 RBIs to lead Knights to their third consecutive WCL title. Philip made ESPN Sportscenter worthy plays to retire the Kelowna Falcons very first and very last batter in the WCLCS finale while collecting 7 assists on the night to lead a Corvallis defense that did not commit an error in the WCLCS.

For the summer, Philip hit .307 with 173 at bats, 11 doubles, 3 homers, 31 runs scored and 20 RBIs.

Philip is headed to play for Oregon State, the 2018 National Champions, after two stellar springs at San Joaquin Delta College where he was named first-team Pacific Division All-American by ABCA/Rawlings following his sophomore season.

Connor Redmond, a second-year Knight, started game two of the WCLCS and earned the championship game win, as the right-hander tossed 6 2/3 innings allowing only one run, a walk and four hits while striking out 8.

Overall, Redmond went 3-1 with a 3.32 ERA over 10 appearances, 7 starts and 40.2 innings pitched. He only walked 6 while striking out 35 for the summer.

This past spring, Redmond made 12 appearances and a start for Cal Poly of the Big West Conference, going 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA.
